很多開手動擋的司機，為了省油，喜歡在下坡或者遇到前方是紅燈的情況下掛空擋滑行，如果是在市區(qū)行駛、車速不快的情況下，安 全隱患倒不是特別大，但是手動擋車型在車速快時，是非常不建議空擋滑行的。因為空擋滑行無法利用發(fā)動機制動來限 制車速，遇到長下坡的情況容易因為剎車熱衰減而導致剎車失靈，有大的安 全隱患。而對于自動擋車型，空擋滑行時目前絕大多數(shù)的電噴發(fā)動機為了保持怠速仍然會自動噴油，所以并不省油。
